Two rounds of drinks and two pizzas (buffala margarita and prosciutto/Parmesan) came to £20 per w the benefit of some happy hour specials. Good eats and fast service, could have done without the disco lights and bad/loud playlist but otherwise hard to complain. There weren't many patrons so the ambiance could have been more festive but overall an easy and affordable casual spot to enjoy when the mood strikes.

Step into a quaint family run Italian restaurant, and experience great cocktails and friendly service. If you are meeting for after work drinks in the Barbican area, this is an excellent alternative to the ram-packed pubs nearby. Nice selection of cocktails and top shelf liquors.
As a restaurant however, it barely rates as mediocre. The food is OK, not particularly fresh or flavourful. Hysterically, I went once and ordered from the 'rush lunch' menu, which took 30 minutes to arrive.
Service is friendly but they seemed confused and perplexed during a medium-crowded lunch time crowd.
2 stars for food, 4 stars for drinks makes this a 3 overall. -

This place is SO WEIRD!
I came twice and the restaurant was empty except for one other table on both occasions.
The food tastes reheated and not fresh. I had the octopus appetizer, but what I got was clearly squid. The Agnello lamb steak was undercooked (almost raw in some parts), chewy, and full of inedible tendons. The pasta is underwhelming for an Italian restaurant.
The owner or manager was also in the restaurant both times I was there and doesn't seem especially interested in having customers. It was definitely not a welcoming environment and the food is a joke.
And they charge 2 pounds for bread. But at least they give complimentary olives. -

We were actually on our way to Pizza Express...the overpriced restaurant chain, and stumbled across this gem instead because of the menu board outside...£6 for a margherita pizza?! We went inside and although a little after the lunch time rush which meant they'd run out of their lasagne we still had an amazing meal.
-Small (but definitely enough for lunch) rib eye steak with delicious potatoes and veg
-Massive plate of penne pesto
-Breadcrumbed chicken steak with potatoes and veg
-Massive plate of penne bolognese (made for my small cousin as a replacement to her lasagne!)
Each between £5 and £8. I could actually not believe how cheap it was. Evening meals were not much more (the pizza for £6 is actually the normal price! With toppings it was around £8). The food was amazing and I would definitely go back for those prices and quality in central London. -

I'm in town for work and have actually eaten here 3 days in a row. Inexpensive and delicious, great service.
